Basic Sanitation and Engineering Program

The General Goal of the Basic Sanitation & Engineering Brigades Program is to providing the necessary infrastructure to the community and help them aim to better living conditions.

We work on the improvement and repair of rural community members house buildings by constructing Pilas (traditional cement water storage which is used to keep extra water for the general household usage and, especially during summertime, when as a general Municipal Authorities rule, water has to be rationed to prevent water crisis), rooftops, toilets, floors in the houses, repairing of house walls and eco-stoves, so with these program projects we intend to contribute preventing common diseases such as common cold, coughing, dermatologic diseases, fungus and athlete foot, gastrointestinal, diarrhea, parasites and respiratory illnesses.

In the same way we created a family educational program in which we will emphasize the importance and the benefits of the appropriate usage and care of these projects and how they will contribute to the population general improvement.

As a priority, the Construction and Basic Sanitation Brigades Program is starting the run-up on the construction of the Community Soup Kitchen Building and also building classrooms at the local rural school which is currently in bad conditions.

  • Cultural exchange of volunteers with the locals and the way they will feel encouraged to empower and care about the projects accomplished at their own villages.
  • The way these projects will help change, improve and affect in a positive way the population living conditions.
